Parts of a Refrigerator

There are not many houses that don’t have a refrigerator in the kitchen. It’s been a must-own kitchen appliance for many years. A household refrigerator stores food and drinks at the right temperature, in order to prevent spoiling and slow down the growth of bacteria. The cycle of refrigeration starts by transferring the heat from the inside of the appliance to the outside, by using principles of evaporation and condensation.

The primary components of your refrigerator are. For questions or service call Hayes Appliance Repair:

A compressor is both a pump and a motor, and it is necessary for the circulation of refrigerant dispersed in the cooling system.
A compressor is a very important part of a refrigerator. Homeowners should hire a professional company if the compressor is broken.

A refrigerator condenser is attached on the rear outside panel of the appliance and is there to disperse the warmth absorbed from inside the refrigerator out into the air.

The evaporator is located on the interior of the refrigerator where absorbs heat contained within it, effectively lowering the interior temperature.

Right when an evaporator isn’t working, it is time to hire a professional. Don’t wait too long.

Expansion Device

Liquified coolant is carried through a capillary tube that serves as an expansion device to cool the gas, transforming the gas back into a liquid.

A refrigerator thermostat helps regulate the temperature inside the refrigerator, starting a new cooling period when it is needed.

The thermostat inside of a refrigerator is very prone to malfunction. Troubleshoot and hire a technician in CITY for repair right when a problem occurs.

How Does Refrigeration Work?

1. Right when the temperature within the refrigerator rises above the set point sensors alert the compressor to engage, and the next cool down starts. The refrigerator draws in the cool liquid refrigerant, condenses and pressurizes it, and raises the temperature, so it can turn into a gas.

2. The refrigerator compressor directs the warm gas towards the refrigerator condenser coils located on the exterior of the appliance, where it comes in contact with warmer air temperature in the kitchen and reverts back to a liquified form.

3. The cooled liquified gas then continues its journey towards the evaporator component, traveling through the coils within the refrigerator and top freezer section.

4. The coolant then absorbs the heated air from within the refrigerator, cooling the temperature down to the desired set point.

5. The refrigerant evaporates, and turns back to a gas form, and then returns to the compressor unit in order to continue the cooling cycle.

Refrigeration is found in several applications and large appliances, including heat pumps, AC units, refrigerators and freezers. By extracting warmth from one location and then transferring it to elsewhere the cycle of refrigeration will help cooling your house, provides a safe storage space for food that is perishable, and helps with the manufacturing and storage of many different everyday products and materials.
